Despite the unseasonal rain, Miss Poppys veg garden is starting to become bountious, salad leaves have been harvested tonight and I am looking forward to my strawberries, courgettes, broadbeans, green beans and watching my new grapevine grow after it was munched by a snail.

Botanic Ocean

Solid perfume

Kismet now has a lavender crust

Also been soaping today and made repeats of two of my most popular soaps - Botanic Ocean and Kismet and made a new formulation of my solid perfume - I just have to decide on the fragrances! The photos show the just-poured cold process soap mixture, which will set overnight and will be ready to cut into bars in 24 hours. I`ll upload photos of the finished result later!

Hello and welcome!

MUSTARD CITY Focuses on the `hidden` music scene - the bits and bobs you just don`t see anywhere else. Not particularly edgy, just everyday folk enjoying their music.

6 years ago, I couldn't play anything, although I had a lifelong love of music in all its forms. Since joining a local ukulele society on a whim, my musical confidence has grown so much that I now regularly play 3 different stringed instruments (not at the same time!) as well a selection of percussive instruments. I regularly play at charity gigs, busks and events and generally have blast doing it.

I`m a 40+ mum of 2 and never thought I`d do all this BUT it`s happened - how? I don`t know, I cant explain it.

Through my musical meanderings I have come across a wealth of like-minded people whose lives have changed and improved through music.

So join me for an occasional bit of this and bit of that direct from glorious Norwich and maybe you`ll find the music of your life too.
